Nuestro compromiso, y además sabemos que es algo cierto, es acercaros esta prueba que está entre las más grandes a nivel mundial pero que puede que no la conozcáis. Hoy entrevistamos a Montri Boonyasat creador y director de la mejor página de información sobre Trail en el país: Running Insider, media partner Tailandés y amigo que nos va a acercar cómo es el Trail running en Tailandia y cómo el país y la comunidad está comprometida con la prueba.

Estudio y trabajo en comunicación. He estado trabajando para una revista durante muchos años. Soy un editor en el campo de la escritura de las artes y la cultura y empecé a correr Ultra Trail en serio en 2014, luego en 2015, competí en la HK100 (Hong Kong Ultra Marathon 100K – Ultra Trail World Tour ) en Hong Kong 4 años seguidos. Constantemente estoy contando una historia de Trail Running. hasta que llegué a hacer una página de fans como Running Insider, en junio de 2018, tardó unos 20 meses en completar los 100,000 Seguidores . Tengo buenos modelos a seguir como iRunfar.com , Billy Yang , Run Steep Get High ,dogsorcaravan.com, OUTSIDE Magazine, quiero crear medios deportivos de calidad Ultra Trail Running en Tailandia.
Para trabajar como Media Partner en Doi Inthanon Tailandia by UTMB porque en 2021 he estado compartiendo el informe de la carrera de principio a fin, hacer lo mejor es muy desafiante. Porque este evento es el más grande. se reunió con los medios de comunicación internacionales, quiero comunicar la historia de la carrera Ultra Trail en Tailandia. A los corredores extranjeros, por lo que en 2022 este curso será el Asia Pacific Major. Es un reto que me espera.
Desde su perspectiva, ¿Cómo ha evolucionado el Trail running en Tailandia en los últimos años?¿Puede Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB ser la recompensa a muchos años de buen trabajo en silencio?
Los eventos de trail running en Tailandia han crecido rápidamente desde 2015. Después de 7 años, tenemos 2 UTMB World Series en Tailandia, Doi Inthanon Tailandia by UTMB, el punto más alto del país, y Amazean Jungle Tailandia by UTMB Betong, Yala la frontera más al sur del país a Malasia. Es algo de lo que hay que estar orgulloso. Pero como sabes, Tailandia también tiene un terreno interesante para una carrera de trail internacional. Especialmente el trail running en la isla en medio del mar, en Samui , Krabi ,Phuket u otros lugares. En los últimos 7 años, se han celebrado más de 200 eventos de Trail Running. En Tailandia, de ser un deporte nuevo que nadie conoce es uno de los deportes populares.
Como medio de comunicación especializado que interactúa con muchos corredores, ¿Cómo ha recibido la comunidad de corredores el hecho de que un país tan pequeño en el mundo del Trail running hasta hace muy poco, haya acogido un Major y dos eventos del UTMB?
La opinión de los corredores tailandeses cada grupo es diferente. pero creo que si hay una oportunidad de competir en las Series Mundiales del UTMB en el circuito de Doi Inthanon y Amazean Jungle para recoger las stones , con la esperanza de competir en el UTMB en Chamonix. Se espera que en un futuro próximo aumente el número de corredores de trail running en Tailandia porque correr carreras en plena naturaleza es una gozada.
Eventos de Trail running en Tailandia de los que soy consultor había 2.000 corredores en el campo, las entradas se agotaron. En una semana, esto es suficiente para decir que el Trail Running en Tailandia es popular.
Desde Bangkok, ¿se percibe que Tailandia se ha puesto al mismo nivel que países como Francia o España, o la comunidad aún no es consciente de que será observada en detalle en 2022-2023?
El Trail Running cuenta con el apoyo de la Autoridad Deportiva de Tailandia. Creo que los ejecutivos deportivos y el Gobierno tailandés ; Ministerio de Turismo y Deportes está previendo El uso de los deportes de Trail running, incluyendo el maratón, es una fuerza impulsora para que los turistas de todo el mundo vengan a Tailandia, especialmente después de abrir el país de la situación de COVID19. Francia y España serán un buen modelo de turismo deportivo, como las carreras ciclistas del Tour de Francia o los partidos de fútbol de LaLiga en España son un gran imán turístico. Creo que dentro de 2 años, los corredores sabrán más sobre los campos de carreras en Tailandia y querrán competir en Tailandia así como tomar un descanso durante las vacaciones en Tailandia.
¿Cómo crees que será el futuro, por ejemplo en 2025 (por decir una fecha), de las carreras de Trail de las carreras de Trail running en Tailandia, ¿crees que todavía tiene margen de crecimiento? ¿Cree que la carrera Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB será el comienzo de algo aún más grande?
Creo que la competición de trail running en Tailandia tiene mucho potencial de crecimiento. Si se han difundido ampliamente los bellos e inusuales paisajes el trail running en Tailandia es precioso. Tenemos montañas, cascadas, islas y bosques fértiles. Mientras tanto cada tipo de carerra es un reto, difícil; tenemos la gente, los organizadores de carreras cada vez son más conocedores para hacer el Trail Running con grandes estándares de seguridad, hospitalidad, buen alojamiento además de un viaje muy fácil desde cualquier parte del mundo. Hay un aeropuerto cerca de cada carrera importante.
El evento Doi Inthanon Chiang Mai Este año, mostrará el potencial de acoger un evento de clase mundial por los organizadores tailandeses. También es alentador para nosotros.
Ahora, como ciudadano tailandés, ¿crees que para que el país pase de ser un destino turístico de playa fiesta o destino turístico de tuk tuk a convertirse en un destino turístico de eventos deportivos puede aumentar las visitas al país?
Buena pregunta, creo que Tailandia tiene muchos encantos en materia de turismo. Como cuando fuimos a España en Barcelona, los turistas interesados en el fútbol les gustaría ver el futbol con el FC Barcelona, los turistas interesados en el arte y la arquitectura quieren pasar el tiempo viendo el templo de la Sagrada Familia de Antoni Gaudí o el turista interesado en la música. Y los fiesteros querrán visitar Ibiza.
Los turistas interesados en viajar a Tailandia tienen una gran variedad de intereses, pero pienso ahora entre los corredores de Trail Running de todo el mundo cuando ven las fotos y los vídeos de las competiciones de Trail Running en Tailandia deberían ser interesantes de visitar. Here Montri gives a short presentation of who you are and what is running insider. How did you start to develop such a specialized media in mountain races? How were the beginnings to become Media Partner of such a big event as Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB?
I study and work in mass communication. I’ve been working for a magazine for many years. I am an editor Working in the field of arts and culture writing I started running Ultra Trail in earnest in 2014, then in 2015. I competed in the HK100 (Hong Kong Ultra Marathon 100K – Ultra Trail World Tour ) in Hong Kong 4 years in a row. Even though I’m a runner who doesn’t run very fast But I’m very happy with the race . I became interested in studying long distance running. Fortunately, we live in the age of the Internet and social networks. I have started following Ultra Trail races like UTMB , UTMF , Western States Endurance Run ,Lake Saroma Ultra Marathon HardRock 100 Colorado ,etc I started writing these stories for my friends. Thai trail runners read from their own facebook page. For working as a Media Partner with Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB because in 2021 I’ve been sharing the race report from start to finish. do the best It’s very challenging. I do a great job. Reaching more than 8 million readers in 3 days, I try to enhance my work. Because this field is the largest field. met with international media I want to communicate the story of the Ultra Trail race in Thailand. To foreign runners, so in 2022 this course will be the Asia Pacific Major. There is a challenge that awaits me.
From your perspective, how has trail running in Thailand evolved in recent years? Can Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB be the reward for many years of good work in silence?
Trail Running Event in Thailand have grown rapidly since 2015. After 7 years, we have 2 UTMB World Series in Thailand, Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB, the highest point in the country, and Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB Betong, Yala the southernmost border of the country to Malaysia. It’s something to be proud of. but as you know Thailand also has interesting terrain for an international trail course. Especially the trail running on the island in the middle of the sea, at Samui , Krabi ,Phuket or other places. In the past 7 years, more than 200 Trail Running events have been held. In Thailand, from being a new sport that no one knows It is one of the popular sports.
As a specialized media that interacts with many runners, how has the running community received the fact that such a small country in the world of trail running until very recently has hosted a Major and two events by UTMB?
Opinion of Thai runners Each group is different. but i believe that if there is a chance. They must want to compete in the UTMB World Series at the Doi Inthanon circuit and Amazean Jungle to collect Running Stone, hoping to compete at UTMB. At Chamonix, it is expected that in the near future the number of trail running runners in the country Thailand will increase Because running races in the middle of nature is a joy.

Trail Running is well supported by the Sports Authority of Thailand. I think sports executives and the Thai Government .Ministry of Tourism and Sports is foreseeing The use of trail running sports, including the marathon, is a driving force. Let tourists from all over the world come to Thailand. especially after we opened the country from the COVID19 situation. France and Spain be a good role model of Sport Tourism such as Tour de france bicycle races or football matches LaLiga in Spain is a huge tourist magnet. I think that within 2 years, runners will know more about running fields in Thailand and want to compete in Thailand. and take a break during holidays in Thailand
How do you think the future will be, for example in 2025 (to say a date), of trail running races in Thailand, do you think it still has room for growth? Do you think this Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB will be the start of something even bigger?
I think the Trail Running competition in Thailand has a lot of potential for growth. If beautiful, unusual landscapes have been widely distributed. Trail running in Thailand is beautiful. We have mountains, waterfalls, islands, and fertile forests meanwhile Each field is challenging, difficult, we have people, Knowledgeable tournament organizers more skill as well to make the Trail Running has standards of safety, hospitality, good accommodation, Hotel, easy and comfortable travel There is an airport close to the competition point.
Competition event at Doi Inthanon Chiang Mai This year, it will show the potential of hosting a world-class event by Thai organizers. It’s encouraging for us too.
Now as a Thai citizen, do you think that for the country to move from being a beach, party or tuk tuk tourist destination to becoming a sporting event tourist destination can increase visits to the country?
Good question I think Thailand has many charms in tourism. Like we went to Spain Tourists interested in football I would like to go to watch football at the Barcelona club, tourists who are interested in art and architecture want to spend time watching the temple of Antoni Gaudí’s The Sagrada Familia or the music-interested tourist. And the party would want to visit Ibiza. Tourists interested in traveling to Thailand have a variety of interests But think now among Trail Running runners from around the world when they see pictures and videos Trail running competitions in Thailand should be interesting to visit.
